Explanation of Immersion Heating in Fluid Heating with Electric Heating Thermal Oil Furnace

The main electric heating thermal oil furnace is used for direct contact heating of fluids, featuring fast heat exchange and high thermal efficiency. It is divided into water heaters, oil heaters, and gas heaters. The power density of the heating element, i.e., the power per unit heating area of the electric heating element, is a crucial parameter that directly affects the performance and service life of the heater. Its value is a very professional issue, influenced by many factors (such as the flow rate, temperature, physical and chemical properties of the medium, and the direction of the medium flowing through the heating element).

If the value is too high, it can cause overheating, coking, and in severe cases, rapid damage to the heating element. If the value is too low, it leads to increased volume and a sharp rise in cost. For different types of electric heaters, different power densities are adopted. A common structural feature is that several electric heating tubes are bundled on a tube sheet, and a support plate or support tube is used at the end to form all the electric heating tubes into a whole, reducing vibration of individual tubes caused by medium flow. Over-temperature control devices are installed in the heaters as protection for the heating elements.
